Keratoconus Australia is a not-for-profit association created to prevent, inform and create awareness of the eye disease and visual impairment caused by keratoconus.
Keratoconus is a thinning of the central zone of the cornea, the front surface of the eye. As a result of this thinning, the normally round shape of the cornea is distorted and a cone-like bulge develops.
This cone like forms a key part of the symbol, it's reflected image helps to encapsulate this to visually represent the eyeball in a way that displays both the conical shape and its preferred curved state.
